Results from the Lee Strand U16 County Hurling league Division 1 games played last evening;
Ballyduff 5-08 v St Brendan's 1-07
Kilmoyley 1-10 v Causeway 2-08.

The Kilmoyley and Causeway game was a pulsating game that was played in a very sporting and skilful manner with the visitors emerging the winners on the score line of Kilmoyley 1 10 Causeway 2 08.
Played at a lively pace both sides didn't let the strong breeze affect their play. Indeed it was the home side that went in at half only trailing by 5pts to 4pts. Immediately after the restart Kilmoyley were on equal terms with a point from Vincent Savage, but Causeway hit a purple patch scoring 2 02 the goals coming from Joseph Diggin and Padraig Murray and points from Muiris Delaney and Paul McGrath. The home side set about to claw their way back into the game as Daniel Collins goaled for Kilmoyley and reduced the deficit to 6. Kilmoyley rallied and with 5 unanswered points from Daniel Collins, Luke and Dougie Fitzell and 2 from Vincent Savage, and reduced the margin to 1 but Causeways Paul McGrath pointed to put 2 between the sides, Kilmoyley pushed hard and replied with a point from Daniel Collins which was not enough as Causeway held out to win by the bare minimum
Final score Causeway 2-08 Kilmoyley 1-10
