A few points to remember prior to the commencement of our 2014 season

* Our U-12 Go Games will continue in the same format as the past two years. i.e. 11-a-side. At the recent CCC meeting, it was agreed that any goal scored after the 5th goal will count as a point. There will be a review carried out ater one year to determine successfulness. Coiste na nÓg recommends that the goalie stays inside the 20 metre line.

* The U-13 football competition will be discontinued at County level. District Boards can continue to run their competitions - these will be played at 13-a-side

* A reminder to Clubs that mouthguards are compulsory - this must be strictly enforced

* Clubs are asked to ensure all coaches have up-to-date Garda Vetting

* One Touch Hurling is to be introduced at U-12 Hurling and also the pitch size will be increased to 45 metre wide (as a minimum). Clubs are allowed to extend to 50 metre wide. Length is 20 to 20 metre line.

* Unlimited subs will continue to be used in all U-14 and U-16 County Football League Games and District County Football Championship U-14 and U-16 Games.

* The format of the U-14 District County Football Championship has been changed to include a Plate Competition which will run concurrently with the Championship. The U-16 District County Football Championship remains unchanged
