Michael Reidy Memorial U12 Hurling Championship.

The Michael Reidy Memorial U12 Championship final between Crotta and St Brendans will go ahead as part of a double header in Lixnaw on Saturday next Sept 25th with the U12 final at 3.45pm (as the curtain raiser to the Credit Union Co Hurling league Div3 Final @ 5.30pm) also between Crotta and St Brendans.

St Brendans defeated Dr Crokes in the quarter finals and with just a few points to spare against Kenmare Kilgarvan in the semi final, Crotta’s path to the final included a quarter final win against Ballyheigue and overcame their neighbours Lixnaw. If St Brendans keep the form they had in the early stages of this competition, they will become the 2010 U12 Champions. But these Crotta U12’s have a never say die attitude and will put the Brendans to the pin of their collar and expect a great game and don’t be surprised if a replay will be needed to separate these two teams.

Lee Strand U16 County Hurling league Div 2 Final.
With Abbeydorney poised to meet Ballyduff @ 4:00pm in Abbeydorney. Another final that is too close to call as Abbeydorney has a 100% record in the competition as they has wins over Ballyheigue, Kenmare Kilgarvan, Ballyheigue, Dr Crokes, Ballyduff and Dingle.

Ballyduff were unbeaten in 5 games, bar their loss against Abbeydorney. Both teams met more recently in the Keane’s County Minor Hurling Championship and Ballyduff advanced in that encounter, but at a grade below in this the U16 league Abbeydorney may prove too strong for the Duffers.
